Todd M. Shaughnessy is a judge of the Third Judicial District in Salt Lake County, Utah.[1] He was retained in 2014 for a term that expires on January 3, 2021.[2]

2014

Shaughnessy was retained to the Third District with 74.2 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2] 

Performance evaluations

The Utah Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission, following a 2014 survey, recommended that Judge Shaughnessy be Retained. The full report is available here.

Education

Shaughnessy received his J.D. from University of Utah College of Law.[1]

Career

Shaughnessy began his career at the firm Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall and McCarthy as an associate. He later became a partner with the firm of Snell and Wilmer before his appointment to the bench.[1]
