A Tolleson School District Budget Override measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the Tolleson school district area which is in Maricopa County.

This measure sought to allow the district to adopt a budget which exceeds the set revenue limit by a rate of ten percent for a period of six years in order to further pay for capital improvement costs in the district.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Governing Board of Tolleson Elementary School District No. 17 of Maricopa County, Arizona, adopt a budget which includes an amount that exceeds the capital outlay revenue limit specified by statute in the amount of the lesser of $1,500,000 dollars or ten percent of the District’s revenue control limit per fiscal year for fiscal year 2012-2013 and the six fiscal years thereafter? As required by statute, the capital outlay override amount is limited to 10% of the revenue control limit each year.[3]
