This measure sought to allow the district to adopt a budget which exceeds the set revenue limit by a rate of ten percent for a period of six years in order to further pay for capital improvement costs in the district.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| Shall the Governing Board of Tolleson Elementary School District No. 17 of Maricopa County, Arizona, adopt a budget which includes an amount that exceeds the capital outlay revenue limit specified by statute in the amount of the lesser of $1,500,000 dollars or ten percent of the District’s revenue control limit per fiscal year for fiscal year 2012-2013 and the six fiscal years thereafter? As required by statute, the capital outlay override amount is limited to 10% of the revenue control limit each year.[3] |
