| “ | Mr. Audette was elected to the Fort Mill School Board in 2012. He is an AT&T Area Manager and, along with his team, oversees Corporate Enterprise clients throughout the Mid Atlantic coast along with all their regional locations both domestic and internationally.
He and his wife Dianne have five daughters, three of whom attend Fort Mill Schools. Mr.Audette has a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Columbia Southern University. He also has a Bachelor of Science L. Studies from Eastern Oregon University, an Associate of Science Network Support, an Associate of Science Programming from Champlain College and a Certificate in Financial Planning from Saint Michael’s College. Mr. Audette has received Pinnacle and regional awards along with receiving an outstanding Global leadership award from AT&T. Tom was chosen by AT&T to be a member of the COT leadership team for the state of South Carolina. Mr. Audette is a conservative Christian, precinct president for the York County GOP and has been involved in many regional political campaigns. He is a member of the NRA and an active member of The Heritage Foundation. Mr. Audette also has a Green Belt Six Sigma along with achieving several state school board certifications. Tom is also a member of Central Church of God and their Men of Acts ministry. He also participates in the Victory Sports missions.[1][2] |

Three of the seven seats on the Fort Mill Schools board of trustees were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Board incumbents Tom Audette and Pam Martin filed for re-election and faced challengers Terrin Boddie, Don Elliott, Scott Frattaroli, Chad Meyer, and Kristy Spears. Audette won an additional term on the board and was joined in his victory by Spears and Frattaroli.[3][4]

The following are the guidelines provided by the South Carolina State Ethics Commission for campaign finance reporting:[6]

Pre-election report: This report had to be filed by all candidates, whether or not there was any financial campaign activity. The report had to be filed no later than 15 days, and no earlier than 20 days, prior to the general election. The pre-election report was due on October 24, 2016.
Quarterly report: All candidates with contributions on hand were required to file this report. It was required of all candidates once they had begun to file, whether or not there was financial activity. The fourth quarter campaign finance report was due on October 10, 2016.
Final report: This was due after the campaign account was closed.
