Thomas Bakk (independent) was a member of the Minnesota State Senate, representing District 3. He assumed office in 2003. He left office on January 3, 2023.

Bakk (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Minnesota State Senate to represent District 3. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.

Bakk served as state Senate minority leader from January 3, 2017, to February 1, 2020.[1]

Bakk served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1995 to 2003.

Bakk ran for re-election as a Democrat in 2020. On November 18, 2020, Bakk and David Tomassoni announced that they were leaving the Democratic-Farmer-Labor caucus to form a new independent caucus.[2]

Biography

Bakk earned his associate degree from Mesabi Community College and his B.A. in Labor Relations from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
