Campaign website

Bormann's campaign website stated the following:

  • Long-term economic and growth strategy

The inevitability is that Sunset Beach and the surrounding communities will continue to grow. There is no more important time than now to plan for balanced growth while maintaining the beauty and integrity of our Town.

  • Protect & maintain our natural surroundings

A significant part of Sunset Beach's Town revenue comes from the accommodations tax from vacationers. Because our Town relies heavily on tourism dollars to keep our taxes low and our services operating, we must commit to doing our part to maintain our surroundings that benefit tourism.

  • Promote quality of life & sense of community

As Sunset Beach residents, we are all fortunate to call a place like this home. We are surrounded by natural beauty: the beach, the intracoastal, golf courses, and a scenic Town park, all within minutes of each other. We benefit from local businesses, activities, public services, law enforcement, and first responders that add to our health, safety, and qualify of life.[2]
