Tom Calderon
Tom Calderon (b. April 8, 1954) is a former Democratic member of the California State Assembly, representing District 58 from 1998 to 2002.
Calderon served on the Montebello school board from 1993 to 1997. In 2000, he was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. Calderon was a candidate for state Insurance Commissioner in 2002.[1][2]

2012
Calderon ran in the 2012 election for California State Assembly District 58. He was eliminated in the blanket primary on June 5, 2012.[4][5][6]

FBI investigation
In June 2013, Federal Bureau of Investigation agents searched the office of Calderon's brother, Assemblyman Ron Calderon. News reports cited sources naming Tom Calderon as a figure in the investigation with regards to his $11,000-per-month consulting work with a Los Angeles County water district.[7][8][9]
On September 12, 2016, Calderon was sentenced to one year in prison for laundering money for his brother. He allowed bribe money to be funneled through the Calderon Group, a political consulting company.[10]
