Tom George
Tom George was a Republican member of the Michigan State Senate from 2003 to January 1, 2011. Due to Michigan term limits, Senator George did not run for re-election in the Michigan State Senate elections of 2010. [1]
George ran unsuccessfully for the Republican bid for Michigan's governor in 2010.[2]
George also served one term in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2000 to 2002.
George graduated from Michigan Medical School in 1982 and completed post-graduate work in 1985. George is a practicing physician in addition to being a Senator.
