Tom Hucker (b. April 9, 1967) is a former Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 20 from 2007 to 2015. Hucker did not seek re-election in 2014.

Biography

Hucker's professional experience includes working as lead organizer for Progressive Montgomery, Campaign Director of the Progressive America Fund, and Regional Campaign Director of the Fund for Public Interest Research.

Wind power

In 2010, Hucker and Sen. Paul Pinsky proposed a bill requiring utilities to enter into long-term agreements to purchase wind-generated power. It did not pass, and Pinsky plans to bring the bill back in the 2011 General Assembly session.[1]

Hucker successfully won re-election in the general election on November 2, 2010. He won the third of three seats in the district. No Republicans ran.[2]

On November 7, 2006, Tom Hucker ran for District 20 of the Maryland House of Delegates, winning the third of three seats, losing to Sheila Hixson and Heather Mizeur but beating John Wrightson.[3]
