The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 7, 2014. Incumbent Ed Gruchalla and Brenda Warren were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Mary Johnson and Tom Kading were unopposed in the Republican primary. Johnson and Kading defeated Gruchalla and Warren in the general election.[1][2][3]
