J. Thomas King, Jr. is a former civil division judge of Circuit 10 in Jefferson County, Alabama.[1] He served in this position from March 2001 to January 2015.[2]

Education

Judge King graduated from the University of Alabama in 1971 and went on to receive his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1976.[2]

Career

Judge King began his career with the firm King and King, Attorneys, where he worked until 1991. From 1991 to 1996, he worked as the Vice President and Corporate Counsel for Collateral Mortgage, LTD, New South Federal Savings Bank, and Southwide Insurance Company. He then became a partner with Corley, Moncus, & Ward P.C. From 1998 until he joined the circuit court in 2001, he worked solo as "J. Thomas King, Jr., Attorney at Law."[2]
