Three of the five seats on the Daviess County Public Schools school board were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. In District 3, C. Todd Anderson defeated incumbent Dianne Burns Mackey. In District 4, incumbent Frank Riney III ran unopposed and won re-election to his seat.[1]
Incumbent Tom Purcell filed to run for re-election in District 5 but withdrew from the race before the election; his name still appeared on the ballot. Newcomer Dale Stewart won the race as a write-in candidate.[2]
