Tom Schultz
Tom Schultz is the former Idaho Director of Lands. He served in this position from August 23, 2011, to January 2018.[1][2]
Biography
Schultz previously served as the Trust Land Division administrator for Montana's Department of Natural Resources and Conservation from 1991 to 2011. He is a former U.S. Air Force officer.[3]

Political career
Director of Lands (2011-2018)
Schultz was appointed state lands director by the Idaho Board of Land Commissioners on August 23, 2011, replacing outgoing director George Bacon. Schultz stepped down in January 2018 to become vice president of government affairs and community outreach for the Idaho Forest Group.[2]

Schultz was appointed as Idaho Director of Lands by the State Board of Land Commissioners on August 23, 2011. Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna, who sits on the Land Board, stated, "We had four quality candidates, and I appreciate them stepping forward, especially those that are a part of the department. I think Tom brings a set of skills from Montana that will take the department to the next level.”[1]
