Tommy Branch, Jr.
Tommy Branch Jr. ran for election to the Little Rock School District to represent Zone 3 in Arkansas. Branch lost in the general runoff election on December 1, 2020.
Branch was a candidate for the Zone 6 position on the Little Rock School District Board of Education. He was opposed by Tara Shephard and Florene Armstrong. The election took place on September 17, 2013. He was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the Arkansas House of Representatives, District 30.
Biography
Branch earned a degree in business administration from Philander Smith College. He opened a music production company in 2008 and has worked in the private sector for seven years. He has also worked as the campaign manager for Representative Fredrick Love. In 2012, he was appointed by the School Board to the Zone 6 position on the Little Rock School District School Board.[1]

A runoff election took place on October 8, 2013 between Florene Armstrong and Tara Shephard.[2]

2012
Branch ran in the 2012 election for Arkansas House of Representatives, District 30. Branch and Charles Armstrong defeated Norith Ellison in the May 22 Democratic primary. Branch was then defeated by Armstrong in the June 12, 2012, primary runoff election.[4][5][6][7]
