Tommy L. Nelson was a judge for the McKinley County Probate Court in McKinley County, New Mexico. He did not seek re-election in 2014 and retired at the end of his last term on December 31, 2014.

Nelson was re-elected to the McKinley County Probate Court. He defeated Alvin Billie in the Democratic primary with 67.1% of the votes. He ran unopposed in the general election.[1]
