Candidate Connection

Toni Holle participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on March 25, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Toni Holle's responses follow below.[1]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) Taxes

2) Public safety
3) Immigration[2][3]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

Public safety - we need to give our police the tools and support to do their jobsCite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]

Ballotpedia also asked the candidate a series of optional questions. Toni Holle answered the following:

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Integrity[3]
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
Integrity, honesty[3]
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
Represent the people[3]
Do you believe that it's beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?
Not necessarily[3]
What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?
Overcoming the damage caused by liberal policies[3]
What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and the state legislature?
Respect and communication[3]
Do you believe it's beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.
Yes, it is important to know and understand other legislators views and goals. This allows legislators to work together towards common goals and issues. These relationships however, should never come before doing what is right.[3]
What process do you favor for redistricting?
Independent group - cities should not be split. Also districts should try when possible to not cross county lines. Neighboring cities who share like things such as school districts and fire districts should be in the same district.[3]
Is there a particular legislator, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?
Tim Donnelly and Mike Morrell[3]
Are you interested in running for a different political office (for example, the U.S. Congress or governor) in the future?
Not sure[3]
