|- I will work tirelessly to build safer communities, ensure a fairer criminal justice system, amend Michigan’s Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to protect LGBTQ+ Michiganders from employment, housing, and other forms of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, defend the constitutional right of every Michigander.
- With the recent overturn of Roe v. Wade, I'm heated & cannot fathom how our government believes they can legislate women's bodies! I have and will continue to fight for & protect access to safe, legal abortion and reproductive rights. In 2019 I had the pleasure of joining Planned Parenthood in our Nation's capitol to lobby for PP to remain in Title X. Although our efforts that year didn't work, the next year PP was reinstated. Once elected I will work passionately to repeal Michigan’s 1931 “snap-back” abortion ban, which would criminalize any Michigander aiding or performing an abortion.
- Our infrastructure needs serious investment! Being born & raised in the district, I know firsthand how our water infrastructure has held against climate and flooding.Just last year my family, friends, & community members by serious flooding! Too many times we've been impacted by floods over the years, once elected I will fight to create more solutions that mitigate flooding.
