Three of nine at-large seats on the Williamsville Central School District Board of Education were up for general election on May 19, 2015. Because the election was held at-large, qualified voters of the district could vote for all three seats. The three candidates who received the most votes in the election were considered elected to the board.

The seats held by incumbents Michael Littman, Jay Smith and Toni Vazquez were on the ballot. The incumbents ran against four challengers—Sam Alba, Robert Campo, Shawn P. Lemay and Mark Mecca—in this election. Vazquez was the only incumbent to successfully retain her seat. Lemay and Mecca also won seats on the board.

Campaign themes

2015

Vazquez listed the following as top issues in the district in an interview with The Buffalo News:

One of the biggest challenges facing the WCSD is the moral. There is a lack of trust between the district’s staff and the Superintendent/board members. The district should be able to rely on the board to make the best possible decision based upon reasonable and well thought-out consideration of facts. Likewise, the board should be able to rely on the district for direction in areas that are otherwise out of our daily vantage point. I would like to be instrumental in helping to improve board relations between fellow board members, with district staff, and within the community. This can be accomplished though transparency, honesty and accountability.[7]
