I have lived a life focused on serving others and keeping people safe. I am running to restore honor, transparency, and accountability to the Attorney General’s office.

I am a former Army officer who served as a tank commander and a military lawyer (JAG) in Iraq. I have also served as an FBI Special Agent, investigating everything from drug trafficking to major fraud, and as a federal prosecutor. And, as a litigator, I have represented clients in a wider range of complex civil litigation matters, which is a significant part of the Attorney General's responsibilities. This directly relevant leadership and professional experience will allow me to serve as the Texas Attorney General with credibility and effectiveness. Throughout my career, I have investigated complex crimes, taken on powerful interests, and held people accountable using the law, not politics. I am committed to ensuring the Attorney General Office's remains non-political and focused only on

following to the constitution and serving the people of Texas.
  • I will rebuild trust, professionalism, and accountability inside the office. As

I hire dedicated public servants, I will restore ethical leadership, transparency, and professionalism so Texans can trust that the Attorney General’s office operates independently, follows the law, and serves all Texans with fairness and integrity. Other priorities will include ending the political misuse of the Attorney General’s office. That means halting investigations targeting vulnerable Texans and their families, and refocusing the office on lawful

enforcement, public safety, and consumer protection.
  • I will champion policies that expand early voting and protect mail voting so eligible Texans have safer and more convenient options to cast a ballot. I will also support policies that strengthen language assistance, disability access, and voter education so voters are not turned away because of barriers they cannot control. As Attorney General, I will defend these policies in court and oppose efforts that make voting harder without improving election security. There has been no evidence that elections in Texas are not generally safe and secure. To ensure that elections in Texas remain safe and secure, I will vigorously oppose federal efforts to interfere in our elections.
  • While Texas Attorneys General have historically exercised some antitrust authority in state and federal courts, enforcement efforts have fallen short of a sufficiently aggressive approach in several key areas. In particular, the Attorney General has not meaningfully scrutinized large technology and digital platform companies for anti competitive conduct, misuse of consumer or competitor data, or control over digital marketplaces in ways that disadvantage smaller competitors and stifle innovation. As Attorney General of Texas, I intend to use the full powers entrusted to this office to protect consumers who are being harmed by large corporations and leave no stone unturned in doing so.
I am passionate about making sure the law is enforced fairly so the

economy works for everyday
Texans, not just those with power or wealth. One of the most effective ways
to reduce inequality is to
hold corporations and bad actors accountable for exploiting consumers and
workers.
I will use the authority of the Attorney General’s office to crack down on
price gouging, wage theft,
predatory lending, junk fees, and illegal market manipulation. These
practices drive up the cost of living
and push working families deeper into poverty.
I will also defend workers and local communities when their rights are
threatened, including efforts to

weaken labor protections or block local standards that keep people safe.

Campaign website

Box's campaign website stated the following:

Why I'm Running

It’s time Texans had an Attorney General who works for them.

I’m running for Attorney General because Texans deserve a leader who will stand up for them—not corrupt politicians who abuse this office for personal gain. From serving in the Army and the FBI to putting criminals behind bars as a prosecutor, I’ve dedicated my life to protecting people and holding the powerful accountable. It’s time Texans had an Attorney General who works for them.
