An effort to recall Village Board Chairman Tony Cain did not go to a vote in Gresham, Nebraska. Signatures were not submitted.[1][2]

Recall supporters

Gresham resident Daniel Otto organized the recall effort. Otto has said that Cain "has treated citizens unfairly" and has "overstepped his bounds on issues. Really needs to get both sides of an issue. Needs to treat all people with respect and listen to them. Keep the calm on village issues."[1]

Recall opponents

Cain has said, "This recall appears rooted in personal disappointment over an unsuccessful bid for village employment, not in facts," and "I have acted within my authority, followed all laws and procedures, and served our citizens faithfully."[1]
