Tony Knox was an independent candidate running for governor of Florida in the 2018 election.

Biography

Born in Tallahassee, Knox grew up in Leon County, Florida. After graduating from Godby High School, Knox joined the U.S. Army. After four years of service, Knox received an honorable discharge and studied accounting at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.[1] In 1988, Knox entered the shoe-shining business. At the time of his entrance to the 2018 gubernatorial campaign, Knox continued to shine shoes at the Florida State Capitol and Jacksonville International Airport.[2]
