Tony Ortiz
Tony Ortiz is a member of the Orlando City Council in Florida, representing District 2. He assumed office on May 1, 2008. His current term ends on January 10, 2028.
Ortiz won re-election to the Orlando City Council to represent District 2 in Florida outright after the general election on November 7, 2023, was canceled.
Biography
Ortiz served in the United States Marine Corps. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida. His professional experience includes working in law enforcement, as well as accounting and banking.[1] He has served on the following organizations' board of directors:
- Florida League of Cities
- Orlando Web Foundation
- After-School All-Stars
- Ana G. Mendez University/Orlando Campus[2]

The city of Orlando, Florida, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was September 4, 2015. Three of the six city council seats were up for election.[3]
In District 2, incumbent Tony Ortiz was unopposed in the general election.[4]
