Tony Parker is the treasurer for the Republican National Committee as well as founder and president of ParkerTide, a government and private sector support firm.[2][3]

Career

Private sector

From 1973 until 1977, Tony Parker was the executive assistant to the administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. In 1980, he practiced tax law at the firm, Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard & McPherson. By 1983, Parker had started his own private practice, where he remained until 1992, when he became chairman of Capitol Resource Funding, Inc., a commercial finance firm; Parker was also a 50 percent stockholder of Capitol Resource Funding.[4]

In 1997, Parker founded Medical Funding Corporation, a medical receivables purchasing company. Parker is the current chairman of Medical Funding Corporation. In 2001, he joined the board of Gladstone Capital, a finance company.[4] He is also on the board of other Gladstone divisions, including Gladstone Commercial Corp., since 2003, Gladstone Investment Corp, since 2005, and Gladstone Land Corp., since 2013.[5]

In 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012, Parker served as a delegate at Republican National Conventions. At the 2008 convention, Parker was on the Committee on Contests, and, at the 2012 convention, he was the convention treasurer.[2] From 2004 to 2012, Parker served as the national committeeman for the Republican Party of the District of Columbia. In 2012, he was elected as the Republican National Committee's treasurer and was reelected in 2015 for a third term as a treasurer.[2][6] Under George W. Bush, Parker was on the president's national finance team.[2]
