Tony Tenpenny
Tony Tenpenny was a member of the Nashville Metro Council in Tennessee, representing District 16. Tenpenny assumed office in 2011. Tenpenny left office in 2015.
Tenpenny ran for election to the Nashville Metro Council to represent District 16 in Tennessee. Tenpenny lost in the general runoff election on September 12, 2019.
Tenpenny is a former member of the Nashville Metro Council in Tennessee, representing District 16.[1] He was elected to the council in 2011 and served until 2015.[2]
On September 20, 2020, Tenpenny passed away from COVID-19.[3]
Biography
Tenpenny graduated from Glencliff High School in 1981. He had professional experience in sales at Crown Ford Nashville, where he worked from 2002 to 2013. Prior to that, he was a customer service agent at US Airways from 1984 to 1999.[1][4]

2015
The city of Nashville, Tennessee, held nonpartisan elections for mayor and metro council on August 6, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was May 21, 2015. All 41 metro council seats—including the office of vice mayor—were up for election. In District 16, Mike Freeman defeated incumbent Tony Tenpenny.[5][6]
