Tony Wagoner was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He earned a high school diploma from North Forsyth High School and a bachelor's degree from Southern Weselyan University in 2015. Wagoner's career experience includes working as a real estate agent.[1]

The South Carolina Democratic Party reopened candidate filings for South Carolina House of Representatives District 6 after Eric Childs passed away. The new filing deadline was June 25, 2024. Tony Wagoner was the only candidate to file. Wagoner appeared on the ballot on November 5, 2024.[2]

Tony Wagoner is originally from Winston-Salem NC and has lived in Anderson SC since 2003. His career experience includes working in financial services and real estate.
  • We need to keep working hard bringing new businesses into the area that bring higher paying jobs. There has been an unpresented amount of growth in Anderson over the last few years, with new businesses coming to the area bringing higher paying jobs, but we still have a lot of work to do so more people can participate in these opportunities.
  • Healthcare is something everyone should have access to. We have made great strides in getting healthcare to all, but some people want to reverse that and we need to keep fighting them as lives really do depend on our success.
  • The opioid epidemic has been devastating to our community and we need to fight hard for more legislation that makes it harder on drug dealers pedaling this terrible drug that has taken the lives of so many.
Healthcare, Education, Climate, Job Creation, Small Business, and Working Families.
Elected officials must always remember its not about them but about those they represent.
The core responsibility for someone elected to any office is to always listen to the constituents.
I would like to be remembered as someone who fought hard to see an increase in good-paying jobs come to the community.
Losing the space shuttle Challenger was the first historical event that happened in my lifetime.
The Governor and State Legislature should always work together even if they oppose each other on the issues.
This state has a lot of people moving into it from other parts of the country and we don't have the infrastructure to handle the population growth.
Labor, Commerce, and Industry Committee and the Ways and Means Committee.
Transparency in government is important so the people will always know and understand what their government is doing for them.
