Town of Paradise parcel tax (November 2010)
A Town of Paradise parcel tax ballot proposition was to have been on the November 2, 2010 ballot for voters in the Town of Paradise in Butte County.[1] However, on July 22, after voting to put it on the ballot, the town board voted to remove it from the ballot.[2]
The proposed tax would have been $110 per parcel, lasting for 6 years. The proceeds of tax would have been used to fund four police officers, six firefighters and two additional employees working in the area of fire-prevention.
Altogether, if approved, the tax was expected to generate $1.2 million/year.
