An Alexander (excluding Albany Village) tax levy was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Athens County, Ohio.[1]

If approved this measure will replace a tax levy of 1 mill for 5 years for the purpose of fire protection. If enacted this measure will commence in 2012 to be first due in 2013.

Text of the Measure

Language on the ballot:

“ A replacement of a tax for the benefit of the Township of Alexander (Excluding Albany Village) for the purpose of fire protection at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[2][3] ”
