Township of Rome Tax Levy (November 2012)

A Township of Rome tax levy was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Athens County, Ohio.[1]

If approved this measure will replace a tax levy for 3.3 mills and add 2.2 mills for road maintenance for 5 years. If enacted this levy will commence in 2012 to be first due in 2013.

Text of the Measure

Language on the ballot:

A replacement of a tax of 3.3 mills of an existing levy and an increase of 2.2 mills to constitute tax for the benefit of the Township of Rome for the purpose of road maintenance at a rate not exceeding 5.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.55 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for

5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[2][3]
