Recall supporters
Petitions against Mills accused him of "not representing the will of the electors, serving his own interests and violating open meeting laws." Petitions against Malard accused her of "failing to perform the duties of the clerk/treasurer office effectively."[1]
The recall effort began in response to the handling of a proposed 70-turbine wind farm project. The project moved after it was purchased by a second developer.[3]
