Tracey Dent was a 2016 nonpartisan candidate for District 2 of the Milwaukee City Council in Wisconsin. He was defeated in the primary election on February 16, 2016.
Dent was a Democratic candidate for District 16 of the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2014 and a Democratic candidate for District 17 of the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2012.[1]

The city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, held elections for mayor and city council on April 5, 2016. A primary election took place on February 16, 2016. All 15 city council seats were up for election. Chevy Johnson and Sherman Morton defeated Larresa Taylor, Keith Bailey and Tracey Dent in the Milwaukee City Council District 2 primary election.[3]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 2, 2014. Incumbent Leon D. Young defeated Tracey Dent in the Democratic primary. Young was unopposed in the general election [4][1][5] and was re-elected to another term.[6]

Dent ran in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 17. She lost to La Tonya Johnson in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2012.[7] Incumbent Democrat Barbara Toles did not run for re-election. No Republican filed to run for this seat. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[8]
