Positions on the issues

Fronk provided the following responses to a candidate survey conducted by the Journal Sentinel in March 2018.[3] The questions are in the left column and the candidate's responses are in the right column of the following table:

Question Response
What do you see as the top priority in your proposed district budget?
"A top priority would be maintaining a balanced budget while keeping manageable class sizes and quality staff."
School safety has become an important topic at the federal and state levels. What is your approach to handling this issue?
"Being proactive by directing attention to early identification of challenges children face and building a strong community of resources to support children and families in overcoming these challenges. Working with local law enforcement to ensure protocols are in line with current practice is also important."
What would your approach be to finding a balance for the use of technology in the district's schools?
"My approach would be to remember technology can be used as both a tool and entertainment. Children would be educated on this and how to self-regulate. Schools would communicate with parents the amount of time spent on technology. Parents would be responsible for prioritizing technology use for 'work' before 'play.'"
