Campaign website
DeForde’s campaign website stated the following:
| “ |
Why am I running? If you want things to change in this country we must change Congress in the November election. They are out of touch with the needs of the people, they are behind the times. They do not realize American culture has changed due to covid, technology, and social media. The current Congress is making rules and laws based on a time we no longer live. They have no idea what its really like on the ground for the American people. They only care about staying elected and pushing their parties agenda. There's are no easy fixes to the issues our country faces, which is why it requires people who truly care about the people and the future of this country for all Americans. Our elected officials get rich off of hiding the real problems. In order for us to fix the problems we need to elect people to Congress who care more about the people they represent and less about the political party they belong to. America was founded on the ideal that we are a government of the people, by the people, for the people. That is no longer the case. It is time for the people to take back our lives and we can not do that unless we elect the right people to Congress.[2] |
