I am a wife, mother, veteran, former foster parent and business owner. One of my proudest contributions to our great nation was serving 12 years in the Navy, and 3 of those years with the United States Marine Corps, 4th FSSG. After my time in the military, I used my GI Bill and graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. After graduation, I spent a few years as a Radiologic Technologist, and then worked for a well-known medical company. Fast forward to the pandemic, I started my own company where we were awarded software contracts by the Department of Defense and offered specialized services to the Department of Energy. Beyond my professional life, my family and I opened our hearts and home to foster children, particularly those born into difficult circumstances. It is a cause close to my heart, and it reflects my commitment to creating a better future for every child in New Mexico.
  • Keeping New Mexicans Safe. We must keep violent criminals behind bars. We must support/fully fund law enforcement and allow them to enforce the law. With the fentanyl crisis, New Mexico must invest in Mental Health and Drug Rehabilitation Services. Visiting parks, attending public events, and going to the grocery store should not be accompanied by fear of assault, robbery, or any other harm to our children, military/veterans, or our community.
  • Save Our Kids. We must teach our kids How to Think, Not What to Think. Our children deserve a solid education to prepare them for the future. We must allow teachers to communicate with parents without repercussions. Finally, reforming the broken system at the Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD) must be a priority. The kids are not okay. It is crucial to prioritize reform in order to provide these children with the care, support, and opportunities they deserve. Despite the department's problems, there are solutions.
  • Fuel Our Economy. We must end senseless regulations and taxes on our businesses, especially medical businesses. New Mexico is a rich state. We should be able to lower the personal income tax to help New Mexicans. Our state should continue supporting the Oil and Gas Industry while exploring all forms of energy.
As a passionate New Mexican, Tracy is fighting to protect the rights of ALL New Mexicans, to protect our small businesses from overregulation, and to protect our children - the future of our state.
Listening to the concerns of the constituents would be the most important characteristic. Serving the people all year long is crucial because it demonstrates a commitment to addressing their needs and concerns beyond just election season. It shows that the representative is truly dedicated to the well-being of their constituents and is actively working to make a positive impact in their lives.
State representatives are responsible for advocating for the needs and interests of their constituents, attending legislative sessions to debate and vote on proposed legislation, and participating in the budgeting process to allocate funds for various programs and services. They also engage with their constituents through town hall meetings, public forums, and other outreach efforts to gather feedback and address concerns.
I worked at McDonalds for 3 months before leaving for boot camp.
Not having enough time doing the things I enjoy.
