Traffic court judge Clemons gets low ranks from local attorneys

URBANA, Illinois: Of 268 respondents to a poll of Illinois State Bar Association members in Champaign County, associate judge Holly F. Clemons received the lowest marks. Her score in the area of "acceptable requirements for the office" was 55.65%, far below the 65% needed for a judge to be recommended for retention. Complaints about her work include a lack of efficiency, a lack of flexibility, and a slow moving courtroom.
Other associate judges in the area received the following scores:
- Richard P. Klaus, 89.66%
- John R. Kennedy, 82.98%
- Charles M. Leonhard, 80.74%
- Brian L. McPheters, 80%[1]
