Travis Bralley was born in Newark and grew up on the city’s east end. He earned a degree in economics from The Ohio State University, working his way through college as a constituent aide to Rep. Scott Ryan of Granville—then the vice chair of the House Finance & Appropriations Committee—and later to House Speaker Bob Cupp.
After graduating, he returned to Newark and has been an active volunteer ever since, serving with the Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District, Together We Grow Community Gardens, and civic organizations such as the Licking County Historical Society.
Travis has also provided steady grassroots leadership within the local party. He has served two terms on the Licking County Republican Central Committee, representing Newark’s 7th Ward, and his peers elected him leader of the Central Committee’s Central District. In that role, he focused on uniting precinct leaders, strengthening neighborhood engagement, and keeping attention on practical results for Newark families.
- Protect taxpayers by implementing transparent budgeting and achieving measurable results for every dollar.
- Safer streets and cleaner neighborhoods through nuisance abatement and targeted enforcement. He’ll prioritize action on repeat nuisance properties, strengthen coordination among police, council, prosecutors, and code enforcement, and support clean-ups that deter vandalism and blight.
- Improve resources and maintenance for community parks. Travis will direct funding to routine upkeep, equipment repairs, and basic amenities—keeping parks clean, safe, and welcoming for families in Ward 7.
