Travis Gonzalez

Travis Gonzalez (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Missouri. He lost in the Democratic primary on August 7, 2018.

Gonzalez was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 6th Congressional District of Missouri.^[1] Gonzalez was defeated by David Blackwell in the Democratic primary.^[2]

Gonzalez was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 7 of the Missouri House of Representatives.

Biography

Gonzalez received his high school diploma from Trenton High School in Trenton, Missouri. His professional experience includes working as a security guard.^[3]

Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Republican. Incumbent Sam Graves (R) defeated David Blackwell (D), Russ Monchil (L), and Mike Diel (G) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Graves defeated Kyle Reid and Christopher Ryan in the Republican primary, while Blackwell defeated Travis Gonzalez, Edward Fields, Kyle Yarber, and Matthew McNabney to win the Democratic nomination.
