I was born and raised in Tuxedo Court Public Housing Community in Ensley. Tuxedo Terrace housing community has now replaced Tuxedo Court, known as the, "the Brickyard." My upbringing was plagued with the harsh realities of many people in that area and also the strength of my grandmother who raised me on the importance of service, sacrifice and prayer.

I attended Ensley High School, completed a GED program and went on to attend Miles College. I completed my bachelor's degree and went on to receive my master's degree in Strategic Management at Oakland City University. I am a proud father, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and True Love Church Ensley.

I have always been a go-getter that exceeds standards and expectations. I believe District 55 deserves a leader who is capable and will fight for change until our collective community vision has been reached.
  • Economic Growth- INVESTMENT IN MINORITY AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES STABLE INFRASTRUCTURE THAT SUPPORTS ECONOMY SUPPORT FOR ENTREPRENEURS AND SMALL BUSINESSES WITH INCENTIVES JOB CREATION FOCUSED ON TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TO TRADE SCHOOL PROGRAMS
  • Safe Neighborhoods- REMOVAL OF BARRIERS FOR JUSTICE-INVOLVED RESIDENTS FOCUS ON BUILDING COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMUNITY POLICING AND TRUST-BUILDING WITH RESIDENTS, LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND LAW ENFORCEMENT INTENTIONAL ENGAGEMENT WITH FAITH-BASED COMMUNITY MEMBERS
  • Education-SUPPLEMENT EDUCATION WITH AFTER SCHOOL AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS SUPPORT ADULT LEARNING AND SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING SUPPORT REENTRY PROGRAMS ENGAGE NON-PROFITS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT YOUTH ENGAGEMENT FOR AT-RISK YOUTH
I was born and raised in the Ensley neighborhood. As a child,I struggled and fell through the gaps and witnessed poverty, lack of opportunity and tragedy. With the support of family and mentors I was able to push forward and not become a statistic. My life experiences have shown me how important a good quality of life is for the residents of District 55.
As the voice of District 55, there will be a focus on education that nurtures and supports our young people in communities where people feel safe to live, play and work. We will work together to create economic growth while generating opportunities for entrepreneurs and a workforce that invites young professionals.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Alabama

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
