My name is Travis Stauffer. I have been married for 17 years and my wife and I have 7 children together. I have a passion for people and love to serve. I believe it is vital for our political system to have men and women of integrity in office. I am running because of the lack of passion and character I see across this nation from those people holding office. I would like to be a man of integrity in office who upholds our constitution and the rights of the people. The men and women holding office are not there to tell people what to do, but to do the will of the people according to the constitution.
  • Limit and restrain the power and executive power of the Govorner that has been so abused.
  • Elimination of School Taxes
  • Education Reform
I look up to Ted Williams my Pastor growing up. He is a man of God with high integrity. I would like to follow the example of Jim Elliot. He believed God called him to be a missionary. He said "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lost" His dedication led him to be killed trying to do the right thing. I would love to model my life doing the right thing. Even if its not popular at the time.
My political philosophy comes solely from our constitution and my belief in God and the Bible. I also love what George Washington Said in his letter "The Address of Gen. Washington to the Men of America on His Declining the Presidency of the United States" which can be read here: https://www.ushistory.org/documents/farewelladdress.htm
Integrity, Faith in God, Desire for Transparency, Strong believer in the constitution, both Pa constitution and The Constitution of the United States. A servant of the people who cares more about his districts well being then how fat his wallet and bank account is.
I have always been good at building relationships and pulling people together as a team to make something happen. I have integrity and want to see things done the right way. I believe with my integrity and ability to work with people as a team player i would be successful in holding office.
I want my legacy to be that I did the right thing no matter what. Even when the right thing is not popular, I want to stand my ground and fight for what is right.
I was 15 years old. It was a summer job working for a landscaper. I had it for several months.
The Bible. I believe it is the Word of God. A person who reads it daily is held accountable by not just the word, but the God of the Word.
It is beneficial but not necessary. Someone with experience may have an agenda that is contrary to what the people want. Its better to have someone new without experience with high integrity and the people in mind. However, as contrary as it may sound, a sound person of integrity with experience is beneficial.
Conquering the progressive liberal sociacialist agenda that is trying to force its way in. This could affect taxes, family and personal liberties if it is to get out of control. Socialism is trying hard to force its way through walls of our republic and it must not be allowed.
An ideal relationship is one with mutual respect and transparency. If the governor is not willing to talk to both parties and try to work for the people than it is a failed relationship. We must remember both the governor and the state legislature are in office for the people not themselves. Its ok to make a name for yourself. And the people vote our legislatures in because they want a good representative but personal agendas do not come first the people and the PA constitution does. The goveror and the legislature would do good to remember this.
Absolutely! Nothing gets done if you do not build relationships. Relationships should be built regardless of party. We will never agree on everything, but we must agree to serve the people. If we are to be successful in office it will be by way of building relationships. The more voices the stronger the voice.
Yes, I would not be opposed to either in the future if it is the will of the people. I want to serve the people of PA to whatever capacity that may entail.
Yes,
I met a man who is between 30 and 32 years of age. He is a veteran who fought in Afghanistan. He lost a lot of his muscle due to an explosion. Some days are good for him, and other days are bed. Because of his disability he has not been able to receive a raise for years. Even though his job could pay him more his government disability will not allow it. He will lose his disability benefits if he makes more money. I agree with him that something should be done about that. We should take better care of those men and women who are giving up their lives so that we can be free. If a man is disabled fighting for this country he should be exempt from property and school taxes regardless of how much he makes. He should never be penalized in his ability to make money because of his disability.
