Trebor Worthen is a campaign consultant working in Oklahoma. Worthen is a partner at the Oklahoma City-based firms A.H. Strategies and Majority Designs. He is a former Republican member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, representing District 87 from 2004 to 2008.

Career

After graduating from college, Trebor Worthen started working as a journalist with CNS News. He then became active in Oklahoma politics as a field representative and then political director of the Republican Party of Oklahoma.[1] He entered politics as a candidate in 2004 when he ran for the seat previously held by his father, Robert Worthen (R), who could not run because of term limits. Worthen won the election and became the youngest member of the Oklahoma State Legislature at the age of 23.[2]

As a strategist, Worthen has consulted with campaigns across Oklahoma. Some of his clients in 2014 included T. W. Shannon, Joy Hofmeister and Fred Jordan in Oklahoma.[3] A.H.'s website also notes that past clients include former commissioner of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission Jeff Cloud (R-Okla.), U.S. Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio) and former Missouri State Rep. Scott Largent (R-Mo.).[4] In 1997, Worthen also co-founded—with Fount Holland—Majority Designs "to specifically handle creative services for candidates and committees across the southwest region of the United States."[5]

Campaigns and Elections has highlighted Worthen's consulting career twice. In 2011, he was named a "rising star" by the magazine, which noted that Worthen is "one of the few political operatives who can rightly boast that they have been helping win campaigns since the age of six."[6] In 2013, the magazine named him one of the top 10 influencers in the state of Oklahoma, citing his work as "a sought after mail consultant."[7]
