As a family counselor, a mom and small business owner, I am a fierce champion for women's reproductive rights and freedoms. The government should never be in our doctors office telling us what we can or cannot do with our bodies. Government is for the people, by the people. As a State Senator I will fight to increase efficiencies in our government, bring more business to CT and work to keep cutting taxes. We have made great strides in making our state fiscally responsible, I will work hard to continue to pay down our unfunded liabilities. Increasing gun safety measures and keeping school safe and well funded are top priorities as well for me. Being a mental health professional, I would also like to address our opioid addiction crisis with more funding for programs that support addiction facilities and providers.
  • Women's reproductive rights are human rights.
  • Furthering fiscal responsibility at the state level while building and attracting business to CT
  • Gun safety is key to safe and civil society. Closing loop holes in Red Flag laws along with tasking mental health professionals to asses for guns in the home and safe storage.
Women's reproductive rights, supporting HB 5414 and making a constitutional amendment for Roe in the state of CT. Working to create ways for the state to attract business here, including funding programs for low-cost loans to small businesses and private and public partnerships to help struggling businesses. As well as funding improvement to transportation.
The first person I looked up to as a child was Tenley Albright, the first American woman to win the Olympic Gold Medal in figure skating. Tenley also became a surgeon and mom. I wanted to be an Olympic skater and trained for 6 hours a day through out my school years and quit to go to college at 18.

I went to Wellesley College and I looked up to both Madeleine Albright and Hillary Clinton. Both are brilliant women who have devoted their lives to serving our country.

Today I am impressed by Lynn Cheney and her courage to stand up for our country and constitution in the face of fierce opposition.
I remember Martin Luther King's assassination. I was 6 years old. Of course I didn't truly understand what had happened, but I remember how sad and painful it was.
Our greatest challenge is and will be maintaining our democracy in the face of growing authoritarian threat domestically.
Compromise is absolutely part of collaboration. The best solutions are outcomes of stakeholders working together.
