Elections for the city council of Mesa, Arizona were scheduled to take place on November 4, 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. Because one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the District 6 primary, the general election was called off. Kevin Thompson defeated Trevor Hansen.[1][2]
