Tri-City District Fire Station Bond Measure (2012)

The Tri-City Fire Station Bond Measure was a measure, authorizing the issue of bonds for a fire station and community center, was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Douglas County, where it was defeated.
If approved this measure would have allowed for the issue of bonds up to the amount of $3.29 million for the construction and equipping of a fire station and community center as well as refinancing a load for property acquisition and paying bond insurance.[1]

The question on the ballot:
| “ | Shall the district issue bonds not to exceed $3,290,000 for a fire station/community center and to
refinance property acquisition? If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and 11 b, article XI or the Oregon Constitution.[1][2] |
