Price, Utah: The Administrative Office of the Utah State Courts recently announced the appointment of Terri Yelonek as the trial court executive for Seventh District Court.[1][2] The Seventh District includes Carbon, Emery, Grand, and San Juan counties.[1] Yelonek will take over for the current court executive Bill Engle.[1] Engle's retirement was effective April 16, 2012.[1]

According to an April 13, 2012, press release from the Utah State Courts, court executive duties include "administration of district and juvenile courts, which includes providing administrative support to three judges and managing support operations of about 30 professional and technical staff, case management, court facilities, probation services, and court security."[1] In addition, the court executive "develops, justifies, and manages the court budget".[1]

Prior to her appointment, Yelonek served as a child welfare administrator in Carbon County.[1] Previously, Yelonek worked for the past 25 years for the Division of Child and Family Services in domestic violence and child abuse and neglect.[1]

Yelonek earned a bachelor's degree in social work and psychology from Southern Utah State University and is pursuing a master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah.[2] She is set to finish in May 2012.[1] She currently resides in Price, Utah.[1]

Yelonek began in her new position on April 16, 2012.[1]
