Trina Chu
Trina Chu (independent) ran for election for the 3rd District judge of the Louisiana 2nd Circuit Court of Appeal. She lost in the primary on November 3, 2020.
Chu was a candidate for the Caddo Parish Juvenile Court in Louisiana. Chu was defeated in the primary election on November 8, 2016.
She was a candidate for the 1st Judicial District in 2014.[1]
Education
Chu received a B.A. from Brown University in 1995, a J.D. from Western New England College in 1999 and an M.B.A. from Centenary College in 2013.[2]
Career
Chu opened her own law practice in 2005. She worked at the Northwest Louisiana Legal Services for 2 years prior to that. Before moving to Shreveport in 2002, Chu worked at legal services law firms in Boston and a insurance defense firm in Buffalo.[3]

Louisiana held partisan elections for local judicial offices in 2016. A primary election took place on November 8, 2016, and a general election took place on December 10, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates who wish to run in this election was July 22, 2016.[5] Ree Casey-Jones and Andrew Randall Jr. defeated Trina Chu and Carlos Prudhomme in the Caddo Parish Juvenile Court primary election.[6]
