  • Protecting Our Freedoms

In Southern Indiana we hold dear our freedom, knowing that respect is the best assurance that freedom is preserved. Privacy and freedom go hand in hand. Personal freedom is the strongest safeguard against government intrusion in our lives and is essential to building strong communities.

  • Caring for People Today Builds a Better Tomorrow Trish understands that an affordable place to live, access to affordable childcare and eldercare, and a system that treats mental and physical health with the priority people in Southern Indiana deserve.
  • Public Service is Not Self-Service Last legislative session, lobbyists handed out more than $20.7 million in gifts to legislators for expensive meals, sports tickets, and trips. Too many legislators believe lobbyists, other legislators, and big-money special interests are their constituents. Trish will join the few Republican and Democratic legislators who refuse to take gifts from lobbyists. Deals made behind closed doors only benefit special interests, and Trish will resist the cronyism that is at the root of corruption.
Sandra Day O'Connor - a trailblazer who balanced family and government service
Serving the state with strength, grace, and honesty.
My first job other than babysitting was as a gift wrapper at Colonial Candles of Cape Cod. It lasted during Christmas season of my freshman year in High School.
Intruder in the Dust - by William Faulkner - it describes the importance of understanding right from wrong while offering compassion for where people come from emotionally and socially.
I lost my son when he was 26 year-old. He had overcome his problems with drugs and alcohol and was living his best life at the time.
Cooperation for the betterment of Indiana in their respective lines of authority
Preserve and grow Southern Indiana's economy, making it a place where young people want to live and work at jobs that provide good standards of living.
Fresh ideas can come from many directions; experience working in a collaborative, complex environment is most important.
Respecting the views of others is important. Cronyism is counterproductive and corrupt.
Two guys were ice fishing. One guy kept reeling them in, and the other looked on with curiousity. He finally went over to the guy who was catching the fish and asked his secret. The guy muttered four words uninteligently, a few times. The first guy grew frustrated and said, "What's your secret?" in a loud voice and the other guy spit a bunch of worms out of his mouth and said, "Keep the worms warm!"
Stronger restrictions on gifts from lobbyists to legislators
Agriculture and Rural Development, Education, Statutory Committee on Ethics
People have the right to know how their tax dollars are spent.
