The November 4, 2014, general election in Florence Public School District One featured four seats up for election. District 3 incumbent E. J. McIver, District 6 incumbent Trisha C. Caulder and District 8 incumbent Terry B. Law Sr. each faced, and defeated, one challenger. Incumbent John W. McLeod won unopposed in District 9.

Funding

Candidates were required to file a quarterly finance report with the South Carolina State Ethics Commission for the November general election by October 10, 2014. This report covered the period of July 1, 2014, through September 30, 2014. Candidates were also required to file a pre-election report no later than 15 days prior to the election. A final report is due after the campaign has closed. Candidates for local school boards may not accept more than $1,000 from individuals and $5,000 from political parties.[1]
