I'm running for Ohio's 16th State Senate district to unseat Senator Kunze and to help Ohio's legislature focus on people again. We must do better to solve the challenges of healthcare, education, the environment, and Ohioan's imbalanced economy. In working towards better policies to improve the lives of Ohioans, I believe that we must talk about what connects all of us. I believe our shared values like compassion, empathy, understanding, and wisdom are at the core of who we are as a society. Our shared values are common ground that we can use to build better policies. It can also help Ohioans move past the shouting and bickering that divides us.

I'm a consumer protection lawyer who owns a law firm in Dublin, OH. My wife Julie and I live in Hilliard and I have two daughters, Alondra (14) and Claire (8 months). Growing up, my family moved around the United States (and Germany) due to my father's career service in the U.S. Air Force. I ended up in Columbus in 1997 to attend OSU. I ultimately graduated with a degree in economics, and hold a J.D. from Capital University Law School, magna cum laude. My law firm sues big banks, lenders, and mortgage companies to help Ohioans who are struggling to make ends meet. I've seen first-hand just how bad policy and greed hurts the average Ohioan. That is why I am running for office and ask for your support - to help Ohio plan for a better future with sound policy based on our shared values.

  • We need to restore values to our political conversation
  • We have to focus on people again
  • We can build a stronger and more competitive Ohio by making it better for people
