Troy E. Peyton
Troy E. Peyton was a candidate for Department 4 judge on the Eighth Judicial District Court in Nevada. He was defeated in the general election on November 6, 2012.
Education
Peyton earned both his undergraduate degree and his J.D. from the University of Iowa.[1]
Career
Peyton has been an attorney in private practice since he graduated from law school in 1985. He has also served as an alternate municipal court judge for the City of Las Vegas since 2002, and as a short trial judge (presiding over jury trials) since 2005.[1]
Elections
2012
Peyton ran for the Department 4 position on the Nevada Eighth Judicial District Court; he was one of nine candidates for this position. He was defeated by incumbent Judge Kerry Earley in the general election on November 6, 2012, earning 4.81% of the vote.[2]
