Troy Findley, (b. July 11, 1964, in Lawrence, Kansas), is a former Lieutenant Governor of Kansas. He was appointed to this position on May 15, 2009 by Mark Parkinson. Parkinson had been serving as lieutenant governor under governor Kathleen Sebelius until she resigned to become secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Sebelius' departure activated the lieutenant governor's role in the line of succession, making Parkinson the new governor. Findley was elected five times to the Kansas House of Representatives in the eight years from 1995-2003. He also served as Chief of Staff to both Governors Sibelius and Parkinson, from 2005 through his appointment as lieutenant governor in 2009.
