As your State Representative, Troy will provide leadership that advocates for a more robust economy, women's reproductive medical care, and support for schools and workers. She will stand up for your freedoms and rights.

Troy was raised in a UAW union household and experienced the benefits and stability of being the child of a union worker. She believes Union jobs contribute unmatched benefits and stability to communities and families. Troy has been a member of the American Guild of Variety Artists labor union since 1997. She 100% supports unions; she’s in a union and will vote to keep labor unions strong.

As a performing arts teacher for over 20 years, Troy has helped to develop and empower students of all ages through arts education. The impact of teaching children to express themselves in various ways through performing arts is a valuable way to build confidence and self-esteem. In addition, troy’s love of the arts keeps her connected to students and families in her community.

Troy has been a Grass Roots volunteer and organizer for over ten years. She is assisted with campaigns all over Cuyahoga County. She knows what it means to work hard to get out the vote for Democratic candidates and important issues. Troy will use her grassroots skills and approach to mobilize volunteers and coordinate a successful campaign to win house district 17 (Rocky River, Fairview Park, Brook Park, Middleburg Heights, & Strongsville).

Troy J Greenfield

for Ohio State Rep HD17
  • Women's Rights, restore a women’s reproductive right to choose reproductive medical care in Ohio. As your State Representative, Troy pledges to always protect your freedom to control your own lives, including the right to obtain and seek a safe, legal abortion and reproductive healthcare..
  • School Funding & Safety, better safety measures to keep children safe in schools and funding for public schools. Troy supports a comprehensive plan to fix public education in Ohio so that our children and the next generation of workers are ready to bring Ohio forward.
  • Better Economy, As your State Representative, Troy will advocate for economic policies that are laser-focused on lifting up the middle class, including the following: Middle-class tax relief that reduces the crushing impact of inflation; Supporting small businesses by increasing their access to capital and decreasing the regulatory barriers they face; and Increased protections for workers, from collective bargaining guarantees to overtime reform and wage protections.
Women's right to reproductive medical care. Every woman and every Ohioan deserves the right to personal autonomy and to determine their life’s course without government officials intervening in their family planning. A central aspect of that autonomy is a person’s right to decide whether and in what circumstances to marry, have children, and obtain medical care.www.TroyforOhio.com
Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Stacey Abrams are three women I look up to. I want to follow Stacey's campaign strategy. She recognizes that achieving and maintaining a strong democracy requires a long-game approach. Oprah for her ability to be such an influencer and entrepreneur. She has successfully grown a business that continues to give back. Michelle Obama was the first person in the white house that looked like me and shared a similar life experience growing up. She is very relatable. I could empathize with her and her life, work, and family challenges.
We deserve better. I am committed to offering new leadership that brings Ohio forward to a place where those who work hard and play by the rules are rewarded, where women control their destinies, and where gun safety is not lawlessness reigns. I invite you to learn more about my background and position on this website, and please join our campaign! www.TroyforOhio.com
I will be a relentless advocate for middle-class families. As your State Representative, I will provide new leadership that advocates for a more robust economy, women’s medical care, safer streets, and better schools. This is the legacy I want to leave, A better Ohio!
The historical day that has stayed with me is 9/11. I can still remember where I was and the emotional impact it had on me for weeks, even months.
My first job was delivering papers in Detroit, MI, at the age of 13. I delivered the Detroit Free Press for four years. I used the money to pay for my dance classes at the local dance studio.
Losing my Father and Mother has been a struggle in my life. I lost my father 14 years ago and my mom two years ago. They will be forever with me in my heart and soul.
