Campaign themes

2017

Knight-Napper's Facebook page highlighted the following issues:

Single Payer Health Insurance

  • Single payer healthcare will be affordable and accessible to all individuals regardless of age, income, employment or diagnosis.Enhancement of prevention will be a positive outcome for quality care.

Renewable Energy

  • Focusing on renewable energies such as Solar, Wind, Hydro and Wave are not only the future but the cleaner ways to progress away from fossil fuels. Creating tens of thousands of jobs.

Infrastructure

  • The Spending Gap is the main concern for the lack of funds within the infrastructure. Removing unnecessary spending and putting it towards infrastructure will maintain the infrastructure budget.

Minimum Wage

  • Raising minimum wage will help stimulate the economy and trigger business activity and job growth. Which will also ensure improving living standards and the prevention of inequality.

Private Prisons

  • Private prisons should be abolished. The private prisons do nothing but increase the prison population and are only built for profit not re-education.[1]
